Authenticated OS command execution via newline injection
Published Nov 13, 2024 · Updated Nov 21, 2024
OS command injection in Tenda G3 3.0 firmware 15.11.0.20 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary OS commands. The formSetUSBPartitionUmount handler passes the POST-supplied usbPartitionName to doSystemCmd, while prod_system_param_valid fails to reject newline command separators. Access requires a valid web-management login, and successful injection can modify files or interrupt router operation.
