CVE-2024-50848Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated file disclosure via external entity expansion

Published Nov 18, 2024 · Updated Oct 20, 2025

XXE in WorldServer 11.8.2 allows remote authenticated users to read server files by importing a crafted translation-memory file. The object and Translation Memory import paths resolve an external entity in the uploaded TMX document and return the referenced file's contents in a warning message. An account able to upload a TMX file and a known server-side path is required; public evidence demonstrates file disclosure rather than command execution.
