Stored script execution via uploaded SVG or PDF
Published Jan 10, 2025 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
Stored XSS in Trippo Responsive Filemanager 9.14.0 allows remote attackers to run script in a user's browser via uploaded SVG or PDF files. The upload path accepts SVG and PDF content carrying HTML or JavaScript, and the file manager later serves that content without neutralizing executable markup. No upload authentication is required, but a user must open the stored file; successful execution can disclose that user's cookies, name, user agent, and IP address.
