Database disclosure via injectable survey identifier
Published Nov 7, 2024 · Updated Nov 8, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodester Survey Application System 1.0 allows remote attackers to read database data through the id parameter. The unauthenticated takeSurvey.php endpoint accepts the id value without neutralizing SQL syntax; crafted UNION queries reflect selected database values in the response. No login is required, and the demonstrated consequence includes disclosure of the administrator password hash and other user records.
