Firmware disclosure via WebUI hardcoded decryption password
Published Jan 24, 2025 · Updated Feb 6, 2025
Hardcoded credentials in Sungrow WiNet-S firmware WINET-SV200.001.00.P027 and earlier allow remote attackers to decrypt update files. The WiNet-S WebUI embeds the hardcoded password accepted for decrypting encrypted firmware update files, exposing every update's contents. Network access is sufficient and requires no authentication; the established consequence is firmware disclosure, not direct device-code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
