Remote code execution via unrestricted JSP upload
Published Nov 15, 2024 · Updated Dec 3, 2024
Arbitrary file upload in Yshopmall 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute server-side code through the public upload endpoint. The /api/api/upload handler accepts a multipart file named with a .jsp extension while its declared content type is image/png, without rejecting the executable extension. Code execution requires the deployment's servlet container to parse uploaded JSP files; otherwise, the upload still writes attacker-chosen file content.
