Authentication bypass via admin login SQL injection
Published May 17, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
SQL injection in PHPGurukul Online Course Registration System 3.1 allows remote attackers to bypass administrator authentication. The admin login handler in /admin/index.php incorporates the username and password parameters into a database query without neutralizing SQL syntax, so a tautology is accepted as a valid login. No credentials or user interaction are required, and successful exploitation grants access to the administrative interface; public evidence does not establish broader database compromise.
