CVE-2024-50625

Unauthorized file uploads via unsanitized POST paths

Published Dec 9, 2024 · Updated Dec 11, 2024

Path traversal in Digi ConnectPort LTS before 1.4.12 allows attackers on the local network to upload files outside permitted directories. The WebFS file-upload path-validation mechanism accepts unsanitized destination paths in crafted POST operations, permitting writes outside the intended upload location. Access requires specific permissions; the standalone consequence is an unauthorized file write, while code execution or privilege escalation requires another flaw.
