Unauthenticated code execution via unrestricted file upload

Published Oct 27, 2024 · Updated Jul 31, 2026

Unrestricted file upload in Cleo Harmony, VLTrader, and LexiCom before 5.8.0.21 allows remote attackers to execute code. The file-transfer framework writes attacker-controlled files into the autorun directory, where the applications immediately interpret and execute them. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation grants code execution under the service account.
