Stored script execution via improperly sanitized Markdown
Published Oct 28, 2024 · Updated Oct 28, 2024
Stored XSS in JetBrains YouTrack before 2024.3.47707 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through crafted Markdown. Markdown element rendering improperly sanitizes stored HTML, allowing executable content to persist and run when another user views it. Low-privileged access and user interaction are required; successful exploitation reads or modifies browser-accessible data in the viewer's YouTrack session.
