Cross-site scripting via improperly sanitized comment tags
Published Oct 28, 2024 · Updated Oct 28, 2024
Cross-site scripting in JetBrains YouTrack before 2024.3.47707 allows remote authenticated users to run script via a comment tag. YouTrack's HTML sanitizer accepts crafted comment-tag input and places it into rendered content without neutralizing executable markup; JetBrains has not disclosed the affected function. A low-privileged account must submit the crafted content and another user must view the affected page, limiting impact to script-driven data exposure or modification in that user's session.
