VPN password disclosure via garbage-collected memory

Cleartext VPN-password storage in FortiClient for Windows, Linux, and macOS allows local users to recover credentials from process memory. FortiClient retains the VPN password in JavaScript-managed memory and relies on garbage collection rather than promptly clearing the plaintext value. Exploitation requires a local authenticated user with high privileges and interaction sufficient to capture the client process memory containing that password.
