Authenticated code execution via crafted FGFM requests

OS command injection in Fortinet FortiManager allows remote authenticated users to execute unauthorized code through crafted FGFM requests. The FGFM request handler fails to neutralize command metacharacters before invoking an operating-system command in FortiManager and FortiManager Cloud. Exploitation requires the certificate and private key of a registered, authorized FortiGate, and successful requests execute code on the management system.
