Authenticated web-shell upload via missing type validation
Published Oct 30, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Donimedia WP donimedia carousel 1.0.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to upload a web shell. The plugin accepts uploaded files without validating their types, permitting executable server-side content to be stored on the affected server. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and a remotely invoked web shell executes attacker-controlled code in the web server context.
