Unauthenticated PHP execution via REST query evaluation
Published Oct 28, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Code injection in LUBUS WP Query Console 1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP through a WordPress REST request. The unauthenticated wqc/v1/query route passes the queryArgs parameter into eval() inside get_query_result(), treating request text as PHP code. Successful exploitation runs with the WordPress server process's privileges and can write a web shell or execute commands without user interaction.
