Authenticated code execution via unrestricted profilepic upload
Published May 17, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in Codezips E-Commerce Site 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP through the profilepic field. The admin/editproduct.php handler uses the uploaded filename to choose a write location without restricting file type, allowing PHP content into a web-served path. An administrative session is required; successful exploitation writes and executes attacker-controlled server code with the web application's privileges.
