Unauthenticated code execution via unchecked file upload
Published Oct 29, 2024 · Updated May 12, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Chetan Khandla WooCommerce Product Design 1.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code via a web shell. The unauthenticated pc_added_uploaded_image AJAX action accepts an attacker-controlled file[path] value and writes the referenced content into a web-accessible uploads directory without file-type validation. Exploitation requires the plugin to be active on a network-reachable WordPress site; server-executable content runs in the web server context.
