Database compromise via unsanitized edit parameter
Published May 17, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
SQL injection in index.php in Code Projects Budget Management 1.0 allows remote attackers to read or modify database data through edit. The index.php edit path incorporates the edit GET value into a MySQL query without neutralizing SQL syntax, enabling boolean, time-based, and UNION payloads. A reachable application endpoint is sufficient, and exploitation can dump or alter the budget_calculator database without user interaction.
