Unauthenticated account takeover via user ID impersonation
Published Oct 28, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Authentication bypass in Stacks Mobile App Builder 5.2.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to take over any WordPress account by user ID. The receive_request_checkout() function trusts the mobile_co and uid query parameters and authenticates the specified user without verifying identity. A request with mobile_co=1 and a chosen uid returns that user's authentication cookie, including an administrator's.
