CVE-2024-50378Network attack vector

Secret disclosure via unmasked CLI audit logging

Published Nov 8, 2024 · Updated Nov 8, 2024

Information disclosure in Apache Airflow before 2.10.3 allows remote authenticated users with audit-log access to read variable secrets. Airflow's CLI metrics builder copied the full variables set command into the Log.extra audit record without masking a sensitive key's final value. Only accounts permitted to view audit logs can retrieve the stored plaintext, and the issue does not grant data modification or service interruption.
