CVE-2024-50376Public exploit

Administrator-session script execution via unsanitized SSID

Published Nov 26, 2024 · Updated Nov 26, 2024

Cross-site scripting in Advantech EKI-6333AC access points allows physically proximate attackers to run JavaScript in an administrator's browser. The Wi-Fi Analyzer embeds SSIDs from received beacon frames into its page without neutralizing special characters, so a rogue access point can supply a JavaScript payload. Exploitation requires wireless proximity and an authenticated administrator to visit the analyzer; script execution inherits that session's privileges and can change device settings.
