Authenticated root command execution via applications_apply parameters
Published Nov 26, 2024 · Updated Nov 26, 2024
OS command injection in Advantech EKI-6333AC devices allows remote authenticated users to execute commands with unrestricted root access. The applications_apply API concatenates multiple insufficiently sanitized request parameters into operating-system command strings. Administrative access is required; successful exploitation grants full control over the wireless access point's configuration, data, and availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
