Stored XSS via unescaped Counter widget URL
Published Jun 20, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Sina Extension for Elementor 3.5.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through a Counter URL. The Counter widget render path writes its url setting into an anchor href without URL escaping, so stored markup becomes executable page content. Contributor-level access is required to save the payload, and the script runs in a visitor's browser when the injected page is opened.
