Published Oct 31, 2024 · Updated Nov 1, 2024
Weak password recovery in Frappe Press allows remote attackers to reset 2FA-protected passwords through the forgot-password flow. The LoginSignup.vue forgot-password branch submitted resetPassword directly without checking is2FAEnabled or invoking verify_2fa. The attacker needs access to the account's email inbox; the reset changes the password but does not complete login without the second factor.
