Unauthorized API operations via skipped signature verification
Published Oct 31, 2024 · Updated Oct 31, 2024
Missing signature verification in Laravel Reverb before 1.4.0 allows remote attackers to invoke Pusher-compatible API operations. Controller::verify selected the application and channels but failed to call verifySignature, so requests reached handlers without an HMAC comparison. Attackers must know the nonpublic application ID and can broadcast crafted events, read connection or channel statistics, or terminate user connections.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
