Administrator account creation via unsanitized Publish Key
Published Nov 5, 2024 · Updated Nov 5, 2024
Reflected XSS in SuiteCRM before 7.14.6 and 8.0.0 through 8.7.0 allows remote authenticated users to create administrator accounts. User::saveFormPreferences stores calendar_publish_key from POST without validation, and profile rendering embeds it into calendar URL markup. Administrator credentials are required to set the field; subsequent profile rendering executes injected JavaScript in the authenticated session and permits token-backed account creation.
