Code execution via unvalidated OnSaveToDB file path
Published Nov 12, 2024 · Updated Nov 19, 2024
Path traversal in Ivanti Endpoint Manager before its November 2024 updates allows local users to execute code through crafted content. The OnSaveToDB method passes a user-supplied path to file operations without validating that it remains in an allowed directory. Exploitation requires a user to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file; administrative application credentials remove that interaction gate, and code runs as the current user.
