Administrator-context script execution via reflected pagenum
Published Jul 13, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Reflected XSS in ToolStack SULly before 4.3.1 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser via a crafted link. The dashboard page returns the unsanitized pagenum query parameter in its HTML response, so a closing quote and script element become executable markup. Exploitation requires a high-privilege user to be signed in and follow the crafted dashboard URL; execution is confined to that user's browser context.
