CVE-2024-5030Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Settings reset via missing CSRF validation

Published Nov 18, 2024 · Updated Nov 18, 2024

CSRF in CreativeMinds CM Table of Contents before 1.2.3 allows remote attackers to reset plugin settings through an administrator. The cmtoc_settings handler accepts a POST containing cmtoc_table_of_contentsPluginCleanup=1 and resets settings without validating a CSRF token. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open attacker-controlled HTML, and the demonstrated consequence is loss of the plugin's saved configuration.
