Local kernel crashes via unlocked ring-buffer resize

Improper locking in Linux kernel 6.8 through 6.11.5 and 6.12-rc1 through 6.12-rc3 allows local users to trigger kernel crashes. The ring_buffer_subbuf_order_set() function replaces per-CPU sub-buffers and shared page pointers without taking reader_lock while readers use the same state. Exploitation requires low-privileged tracefs access and a race between buffer_subbuf_size_kb writes and trace_pipe or trace_pipe_raw reads, resulting in incorrect memory access and kernel crashes.
