CVE-2024-5020Network attack vector

Stored DOM XSS via unsanitized FancyBox attributes

Published Dec 4, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Stored cross-site scripting in 15 WordPress plugins allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through FancyBox attributes. Bundled FancyBox versions 1.3.4 through 3.5.7 insufficiently sanitize and escape user-supplied attributes before inserting them into the DOM. Contributor-level access is sufficient, and the stored script executes when a user opens the injected page.
