Local service interrupt via stale RAID10 success return
Published Nov 5, 2024 · Updated May 11, 2026
NULL pointer dereference in Linux kernel 6.9 through 6.11.5 allows local users to interrupt the host via a failed RAID10 setup. raid10_run() incorrectly preserves a zero return after raid10_set_queue_limits() succeeds and later initialization fails, leaving mddev->private NULL for raid10_size(). Reachability requires the failing RAID10 initialization path; the resulting kernel oops disrupts availability without reported data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
