Unauthenticated network inventory disclosure via exposed TestController
Published Jun 25, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Information disclosure in WhatsUp Gold before 2023.1.3 allows remote attackers to read network inventory via unauthenticated HTTP requests. The TestController exposes its Devices and NetworkInterfaces actions without authentication and returns their records as JSON. Any network client that can reach NmConsole can enumerate monitored devices and interface addresses, with no demonstrated ability to modify data or interrupt service.
