CVE-2024-50054Network attack vector

Unauthenticated arbitrary file retrieval via path traversal

Published Nov 22, 2024 · Updated Nov 26, 2024

Path traversal in mySCADA PRO Manager before 1.3 and PRO Runtime before 9.2.1 allows remote attackers to retrieve arbitrary files. The backend accepts a user-controlled filename without sufficient traversal validation, allowing directory-sequence input to reach files outside the intended location. No authentication or user interaction is required; CISA rates the resulting impact as availability-only despite describing arbitrary file retrieval.
