CVE-2024-4999Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated command execution via unsanitized request parameters

Published May 16, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Command injection in LigoWave LigoPTP devices allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands with elevated privileges. The uam_add_internal and link_test handlers concatenate the ifname and ip request parameters into shell commands passed to Lua os.execute without sanitization. A valid management-interface token is required; successful exploitation provides elevated command execution on the appliance.
