Code execution via unchecked behavior class instantiation
Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Mar 20, 2025
Unsafe reflection in Yii 2 before 2.0.50 allows remote attackers to execute code through applications exposing behavior assignment. Component::__set() passes attacker-controlled non-Behavior values to Yii::createObject(), enabling arbitrary classes, constructor arguments, and setters. Exploitation requires application code to assign attacker-controlled property names and values to a Component; installed classes determine whether the result is data access, modification, or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
