CVE-2024-49825Network attack vector

User impersonation via persistent post-logout sessions

Published Apr 14, 2025 · Updated Sep 1, 2025

Insufficient session expiration in IBM Robotic Process Automation allows remote authenticated users to impersonate other users after logout. The Control Center logout flow fails to invalidate the server-side session, so its retained session cookie remains accepted. Reuse requires an authenticated Control Center session and possession of another user's retained cookie, enabling access with that user's privileges.
