Unauthenticated compromise via hard-coded appliance credentials
Published Nov 29, 2024 · Updated Nov 29, 2024
Hard-coded credentials in IBM Security Verify Access Appliance 10.0.0 through 10.0.8 allow remote attackers to gain unauthorized access. IBM identifies the affected locus only as the appliance management interface and does not disclose the embedded credential or the operation that exposes or accepts it. Network access is sufficient, with no prior authentication or user action; successful use permits appliance data access and modification and can interrupt service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
