CVE-2024-49790Network attack vector

Credential disclosure via stored cross-site scripting

Published Aug 28, 2025 · Updated Aug 28, 2025

Cross-site scripting in IBM Watson Studio on Cloud Pak for Data 4.0 and 5.0 allows remote authenticated users to expose session credentials. IBM identifies the Web UI as the affected locus but has not disclosed the specific field, route, or output-encoding operation that accepts and renders the script. Exploitation requires an authenticated attacker to embed JavaScript and user interaction within a trusted session, where execution can alter the interface and disclose credentials.
