Predictable CBC initialization vectors in IBM OpenPages 8.3 and 9.0 allow attackers to recover stored encrypted data. IBM identifies predictable IV generation in CBC-mode encrypted storage but does not disclose the responsible code path. Exploitation requires remote authenticated users with database access or local users with access to server files; the consequence is disclosure of protected data.
