Remote code execution via trojanized installer

Published May 23, 2024 · Updated Oct 21, 2025

Embedded malicious code in Justice AV Solutions Viewer 8.3.7.250 allows remote attackers to execute commands through a trojanized installer. The installer adds fffmpeg.exe under the Viewer directory; this backdoor fingerprints the host, maintains C2 access, and launches encoded PowerShell. A user must run the Windows installer with elevated privileges, after which the operator gains persistent remote control and can retrieve additional payloads.
