Authenticated code execution via ModuleScanner blacklist bypass
Published Nov 5, 2024 · Updated Nov 5, 2024
Improper input validation in SuiteCRM 7 before 7.14.6 and 8.0.0 through 8.7.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. ModuleScanner's scanFile method tokenizes PHP in module loader packages but misses quoted callable names and bracketed or returned calls when applying its blacklist. Administrative module-install privileges are required; a crafted package that passes the scan can run attacker-controlled PHP on the CRM server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
