Stored XSS via unescaped device-note Markdown
Published Nov 15, 2024 · Updated Nov 15, 2024
Stored XSS in LibreNMS before 24.10.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through device notes in ExamplePlugin. ExamplePlugin's device-overview Blade template rendered Markdown from the notes field as unescaped HTML without stripping HTML input or unsafe links. Exploitation requires an administrator to enable the plugin and store a crafted note, then another user to open the device overview, exposing that user's session to unauthorized actions.
