Database read and modification via injectable login inputs
Published May 16, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
SQL injection in Code Projects Simple Chat System in PHP 1.0 allows remote attackers to read or modify database data through login.php. The login handler incorporates POST email and password values into a MySQL authentication query without neutralizing SQL syntax, enabling boolean-, time-, and UNION-based injection. No prior application session is shown in the proof of concept; reachability requires the PHP application and its database-backed login endpoint to be network accessible.
