Stored XSS via unescaped widget title
Published Jun 21, 2024 · Updated Mar 18, 2025
Stored XSS in Devnath Verma Widget Bundle 2.0.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via a widget title. The Text Form widget stores its title without sanitizing or escaping the value, then renders attribute content that can contain an event handler. Administrator access and a later page view are required; multisite restrictions on unfiltered_html do not prevent the injection.
