Authenticated code execution via missing upload type validation
Published Oct 23, 2024 · Updated May 11, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Alexander De Ridder INK Official 4.1.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to upload web shells. The plugin's file-upload handling accepts arbitrary file types without validating whether the server will execute them. Contributor-level access is required, and an uploaded server-executable file permits command execution in the WordPress site's web-server context.
