Unauthenticated web-shell upload via missing type validation
Published Oct 23, 2024 · Updated May 11, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Verbalize WP 1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to place executable files on its WordPress server. The plugin's upload handling accepts files without validating their types, although public sources do not identify the affected endpoint or function. No authentication or user interaction is required, and an uploaded web shell grants code execution in the WordPress server context.
