Authenticated arbitrary file upload via onlineuser.php
Published May 16, 2024 · Updated Aug 23, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in D-Link DAR-7000-40 V31R02B1413C allows remote authenticated users to upload arbitrary files. The /user/onlineuser.php handler processes file_upload without restricting dangerous file types, permitting attacker-controlled content on the appliance. Low-privilege authentication is required, and the demonstrated consequence is an attacker-chosen file write rather than confirmed code execution.
