Root command execution via undisclosed neutralization
Published Mar 28, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
OS command injection in Dell Technologies Unity before 5.5.0.0.5.259 allows local users to execute operating system commands as root. Dell has not disclosed the affected command-building locus or the untrusted input that reaches an operating system command without adequate neutralization. Low-privileged local access is required, and successful exploitation elevates privileges to root with arbitrary command execution.
