CVE-2024-49532Public exploit

Memory disclosure via mis-sized font variation read

Published Dec 10, 2024 · Updated Dec 11, 2024

Out-of-bounds reading in Adobe Acrobat Reader 24.005.20307 and earlier allows attackers to disclose memory through a crafted PDF. The gvar font-table parser advances past private-point-number data but passes the full tuple variation size, rather than the remaining size, to the next read. Exploitation requires a user to open a PDF containing the crafted font; the resulting disclosure exposes process memory and aids ASLR bypass.
